About Callback Theater Company

Callback Theater Company was founded in Brighton, Colorado by Dave and Jeanie Rhoades in 2012.  Merry Gentlemen-A Christmas in Mediocrity was presented in December 2012 at The Brighton Armory to 2 sold-out crowds.

Dave Rhoades, a published fiction writer, continues to enjoy participating in a number of area community theater groups and productions.  He has had the opportunity to perform both lead and supporting parts in roles such as Daddy Warbucks in Prairie Playhouse’s Annie, Tom Brandt in Platte Valley Theater’s Suspenders; he was cast as Charlie’s Grandpa Joe in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and especially enjoyed getting to portray Jean ValJean in Les Mis, among others. [add links!]

Callback Theater Company has afforded Mr. Rhoades the opportunity to produce two original plays he has written, though there are plans to do licensed productions in the future.  It has also been a platform for introducing a whole new group of people and children to the fun and excitement of community theater.  Callback Theater has created a niche for families who want to create memorable experiences together.  Not only are the productions appropriate and entertaining for all ages and generations, most of the casts of both productions so far have multiple family members involved, with at least three families having the entire group of them: mom, dad and kids in the play or working behind the scenes!

This year’s Christmas production, Jesus, Mary and Joseph! will be presented at Community of Faith Church, 90 Emerald Street, Broomfield CO.  The tickets are $5 each online (www.callbacktheater.com) or at the door (children three and under free).  Performances are December 20 and 21, 2013 at 7:00 pm.

December 2013 Press Release – Jesus, Mary and Joseph! It can’t be Christmas again already, can it?!

Broomfield, CO    The Callback Theater Company troupe is back with a Christmas production of Jesus, Mary and Joseph!  Community of Faith Church located at 90 Emerald Street, Broomfield, is sponsoring and hosting the performances onDecember 20 and 21, 2014 at 7:00 pm nightly.  Admission is $5.00 online or at the door (children three and under are free).http://www.callbacktheater.com/

You’ll enjoy many of the cast from last year’s sold-out performances in exciting new roles in this year’s heartwarming Christmas story which includes a stage-full of rowdy children, bright, lively music, and engaging characters in a tale of a church children’s pastor, Mike, who is assigned with directing the church’s annual Christmas pageant even though he doesn’t like Christmas at all – and doesn’t really care for children, truth be known.  But Christmas always works a little magic, doesn’t it?  Will it work on Pastor Mike, even?

The production also includes live music with featured guests Rocky Rhoades, Tristan and Stephanie Kelley, and Stormie Rhoades performing, along with Dave and Tara Powers.   This laugh-out-loud presentation is appropriate for the whole family, from 1 to 92….
